This is what I love. It’s why I do it for a living.

Born in Zurich, Switzerland to parents of academia. Yves creative dreams seemed improbable at first. But his commitment to a tough work ethic relieved any doubts. It was clear to anyone who had seen him dance. He had found a passion. At age eleven he enrolled himself for class at “The American School of Dance” a company founded by a hip-hop choreographer. Having this style as his foundation infused a confidence in him. Still, he lacked technique. After three years,  Yves enrolled in his first ballet program. And for the next four years he trained to achieve a control within his movement. At age nineteen he joined the production of “Fürst Igor” at Opera House Zurich. His philosophy: Where power meets  technique. It has molded him ever since.

He would take his discipline to other styles reaching a performance level proficiency in Jazz, Modern, Funk, and Ballroom. With his influence growing within the community, Yves began  choreographing. As a teacher he learned the importance of communication and maintaining a professional etiquette with his students. He carried these lessons with him into the rest of his career as a dancer.

“Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work,” a quote that embodies Yves character as a colleague. His charm, charisma and ability have made him one of the most successful dancers in Switzerland and London. He has toured the World with Kylie Minogue, Rita Ora and Helene Fischer. To date his performance credits range from recording artists Kylie Minogue, Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, Zara Larsson, Black Eyed Peas, The Saturdays, Jessie J, to television performances on The Voice, X-Factor UK, Miss Switzerland, German Idol and even corporate events with Adidas, Guess, New Look and Hugo Boss to being on a stadium Tour with European most successful artist Helene Fischer.

Today, Yves work can be seen on an international level. His continued education has taken him to the dance centers of the world. During his stays in London, New York and Los Angeles he not only trained but also performed with many of the music industries top choreographers. The inspiring talent of his peers has constantly challenged his definition of “the industry standard.” And although his work will never be done it always be fulfilling.

Dance: An ever-evolving art form, a fact useful only to those who love it.
